Mission statement

The EHD established its mission statement in 2008. One of the main points specified in the statement is as follows:

“All forms and events of Protestant education share the same link between respect for and of each individual as the image of God – which is, in turn, recognised in one’s neighbours – and passing on the Jewish-Christian tradition.”

We also place value on:

  • enabling people to take responsibility for themselves and their community
  • supporting each and every individual, leaving nobody behind and enabling developments
  • recognising the diversity of human talents and thus contributing to the Church and society by recognising differences between individuals and different ways of being
  • being among the people through whom Jesus reveals himself to us
  • inviting people to join us and welcoming them with an open approach

These aspects extend past the preparation of study programmes and concern the establishment of a social culture. Support for others is communicated among all members of the EHD, between students, employees, and teaching staff. It also forms the foundation of our approach to clients and contacts in the field of social affairs.
