What you will learn
Your degree programme will extensively prepare you for the professional areas of activity involved in health promotion, from person-centred health promotion to workplace, municipal and education-centred health promotion. It not only offers plenty to learn on a theoretical level but also directly intertwines this knowledge with practical experiences. Two internships lasting 8 and 13 weeks are firmly anchored in the course curriculum.
During the programme, you will familiarise yourself with aspects of medicine and psychology and explore the topics of nutritional medicine, sports medicine, addiction medicine, and stress management. What benefits do tools such as health apps offer? How can we strengthen self-healing powers? What is our own health behaviour like?
With this qualification, you will become a pilot in the healthcare system and an expert in public health. How do political, economic and institutional conditions impact the health of the population? How can we evaluate national and international health policy developments?
Whether you want to go on to become a self-employed health coach or take on a role as a permanent employee, marketing and networking are sure to play a key role in your future career. With this in mind, our degree programme also introduces you to marketing strategies, target-group-oriented offer placements, and the analysis of stakeholder interests.
